Apply Leirvik is awarded the contract for the delivery of emergency shelter and helicopter deck on Vallhall Flanck West

The contract between Apply Leirvik and Wellhead platform Alliance (Aker BP, Aker Solutions, Kværner and ABB) was awarded today, 21.11.2017, og includes emergency shelter and helicopter deck.

The emergency shelter is a 2 floor module with a total area of 154 m2, which includes change rooms, bath, kitchen, meeting rooms, offices and beds. The top-side is unmanned, but will provide an emercency shelter for up to 15 persons, if needed. The helicopter deck is a standard deck, according to Norwegian requirements

Both the emergency shelter and the helicopter deck will be built in aluminium by Apply Leirvik at Stord. The delivery dates are set to be 31.08.2018 and 31.10.2018. The shelter and the helicopter deck will be transported to Kværner Verdal for assembly on the deck of the top-side.

The contract will employ among 30 FTE’s and fit’s wery well into the two ongoing projects, Johan Sverdrup and Peregrino II. This is an important contract related to our commitment towards small and medium modules. The award shows that our focus on continuous development of the supplier chain makes us competitive in a challenging market.
